​​The Coastal Way runs the entire length of Cardigan Bay. It’s a 180-mile (290km) odyssey that threads between blue seas and big mountains. A seaside journey from the Llyn coast to Pembrokeshire, then inland via Swansea and Cardiff.

You can choose from harbour towns, galleries, castles, water sports and dolphins - that all feature in our highlights along The Coastal Way in Wales. We will provide you with the information of our pick of options and you can tailor your tour to pick what suits you best.

THE COASTAL WAY

This road tour ideally suited for 5 to 7 days, begins at the stunning Llŷn Peninsula an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  The tour routes visits pretty fishing villages, secluded sandy bays and boat trips, even dolphin spotting (hopefully!). Discover Regency towns and Victorian engineering.

Following the coast along, you’ll have the opportunity to explore world famous sites such as Portmeirion the unique Italianate village, Victorian resorts and imposing castles. You will have the opportunity to visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site with this Coastal Way tour.

Taking a route through Snowdonia National Park you will move through rugged mountain scenery to turn back towards coast with an opportunity to admire the far-stretching views across Cardigan Bay.

Enjoy seaside resorts and have the chance to enjoy water sports on offer. There are plenty of walks on and around the coast for you to enjoy, from cliff hugging trails to a wooden railway bridge spanning an estuary. Along the route, you can choose from additional stops of National Trust Properties, railway journeys and even dolphin and seal spotting possibilities!

The Pembrokeshire’s Coast is the only coastal national park in Britain and offers walks, galleries, visitor centres and picture-perfect fishing villages. If you enjoy star gazing and dark skies – the Pembrokeshire coast is a designated Dark Sky discovery site where stargazing nights are hosted in a mobile planetarium.

The Gower Peninsula with its award-winning beaches provides a fabulous backdrop for walks and even the possibility of seeing a shipwreck from the 1887!  

With an opportunity to visit the cities of Swansea and Cardiff for a cultural visit at a museum or two, a spot of shopping and lots of dining out options – you will be spoiled for choice.

Our  takes you along the coast with an opportunity to experience the highlights as you go or choose to de-tour as you go. A 5-night itinerary is possible but you will have to choose which of these lovely places will need to be by-passed!
